We have been perfecting a delicious kombucha beverage made with cedar tea and other Indigenous plants. What is kombucha? Kombucha is an ancient fermented beverage usually made with a variety of tea bases. The secret to kombucha is the SCOBY (Symbiotic Culture Of Bacteria and Yeast). Also called a mother, starter, mushroom or kombucha culture. It very often is looked at as an intelligent life form that has feelings. (Very hippie, we know.) The SCOBY is a cooperative of microorganisms that feed on tea and sugar and whose products of metabolism make up this delicious and healthful beverage. Rest assured, we have gone to great lengths to minimize “floaties” and make our kombucha delicious and not taste like the kind you tried and didn’t like.
